UTILIZAÇÃO DE PINO DE FIBRA DE VIDRO ANATÔMICO EM DENTES TRATADOS ENDODONTICAMENTE COM CANAIS RADICULARES AMPLOS

Resumo

Apesar dos avanços tecnológicos no campo da odontologia restauradora, ainda existem muitos desafios na reabilitação de dentes tratados endodonticamente. Os pinos de fibra de vidro pré-fabricados nem sempre se adaptam ao formato dos condutos radiculares, aspecto considerável para canais radiculares espessos e fragilizados. Sabendo que o grande número de insucesso está relacionado com a utilização incorreta de materiais restauradores e de cimentação, o objetivo do estudo é revisar o efeito da anatomização do pino de fibra de vidro em canais alargados, sua influência na resistência de união e seu comportamento biomimético. Foi realizada uma revisão nas literaturas de maior relevância na comunidade científica incluindo estudos retrospectivos, série de casos, estudos clínicos e revisões sistemáticas. Os pinos de fibra de vidro têm a vantagem de apresentar módulo de elasticidade próximo ao da estrutura dentária, contribuindo na distribuição de tensões e minimizando os riscos de fratura, especialmente quando se trata de dentes com grande perda de estrutura saudável. A utilização de pinos anatômicos é uma solução para restaurar dentes com canais radiculares alargados. É uma técnica rápida, segura e que pode ser aplicada em restaurações estéticas garantindo boa resistência de união e necessidade reduzida de cimento.
