THE IMPORTANCE OF BODY CONSCIOUSNESS AND CONSCIOUS EXERCISE IN MUSCULAR AND ARTICULAR RECOVERY
Abstract
Body awareness is the connection of the mind with the body, where both work together for better performance and quality of movement. Clinical physical therapy is a practical process that includes motivating patients to be involved in the learning process. Physiotherapists must have specific attitudes and skills to be able to present effective treatments so that patients are personally involved. The goal of body awareness therapy is to integrate the organism into the total experience of the self and restore body awareness and control, in which breathing can be used as a means of rediscovering and vitalizing someone's emotional life. This article consists of a literature review, published in books and articles in electronic journals. It was concluded that body awareness therapy is described as resource-oriented, which means working with the body's resources as a whole, using techniques of manual therapy and proprioception, classic attention exercises, such as hatha yoga and tai chi that they are attentive to the present moment and are process-oriented. The benefits of conscious exercise can be measured by ensuring objective changes in quality of life and symptoms related to stress.References
